Dr. Karen Holm

Dr. Karen Holm’s passion for animals began early in life, as she participated in 4-H fairs in her home state of Maryland, showing sheep and rabbits. She pursued this passion academically, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in Wildlife Management and Animal & Veterinary Sciences from West Virginia University, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University.

After graduating, Dr. Karen Holm founded and operated her own veterinary hospital, dedicating 14 years to caring for a wide range of animals, including pets, farm animals, zoo inhabitants, and wildlife. In 2017, she further advanced her expertise by earning a Master of Veterinary Sciences in Conservation Medicine from the University of Edinburgh. She is also a credentialed Associate Wildlife Biologist, certified by The Wildlife Society, an international professional organization.
